Cogitore Resources Inc. discovers new massive sulphides at Scott Lake Project

COGITORE Resources Inc. (the "Company") (WOO: TSX-V) is pleased to report the discovery of massive sulphides at the Company's 100% owned Scott Lake Project in Quebec. Hole SC-28, drilled primarily to test the extension of the West Lens at depth, intersected 3.1 metres of massive sulphides grading 10.8% zinc and 55.6 g/t silver along a separate mineralized horizon, i.e. the horizon hosting the Central Lens (the “North Horizon”).  This intersection lies about 250 metres below and 250 metres west of the nearest massive sulphide intersections on the Central Lens (holes SC-15 and SC-18; see press releases of June 6 and July 6, 2007).  The sulphides were intersected at a vertical depth of 570 metres and would belong to a separate new lens developing along the North Horizon, as the Central Lens itself was closed off by previous drilling.

Assay results from the massive sulphide intersection are tabulated below:
From (m) To (m) Length (m) Cu (%) Zn (%) Pb (%) Au g/t Ag g/t
629.7 630.8 1.1 0.24 11.95 0.78 0.08 29.9
630.8 631.8 1.0 0.09 14.80 1.79 0.04 104.0
631.8 632.8 1.0 0.28 5.54 0.26 0.16 35.5
629.7 632.8 3.1 0.21 10.80 0.94 0.09 55.6

The massive sulphides are underlain by strongly altered and mineralized felsic volcanics, including a 120 metre wide zone of disseminated and stringer sulphides, which assayed as follows:

From (m) To (m) Length (m) Cu (%) Zn (%) Au g/t Ag g/t
632.8 686.7 53.9 0.24 0.25 0.08 8.4
630.8 631.8 15.6 Diorite dyke - Unmineralized
702.3 822.0 119.7 0.32 0.37 0.05 5.2

A borehole Pulse EM survey in SC-28 indicated that the massive sulphides are at the edge of a conductive mass extending to the west. Follow-up drilling is planned in the next few weeks on this massive sulphide zone which appears to be of significantly higher grade than previous massive sulphides found at Scott Lake.

Company President Gérald Riverin, Ph.D., P. Geo. stated “We are very excited about this new massive sulphide zone at Scott Lake and the expansive underlying ‘plumbing system' or stringer zone. This robust system clearly indicates the potential for the occurrence of additional massive sulphide lenses on the property. We are looking forward to further testing this new lens and to  developing other targets as well.”

Other encouraging results at Scott Lake were obtained in the deepening of hole SL-93-106, initially drilled by Thundermin Resources Inc. in 1993, and which was interpreted by the Company's staff to have been stopped short of the horizon hosting the West Lens. The deepening was successful and indeed did hit the horizon 209 metres deeper in the hole. Locally abundant disseminated and stringer sulphides, including local copper and zinc sulphides, were intersected over almost the whole deepening interval with higher grade zones assaying as follows:

ASSAY RESULTS – DDH SL-93-106E
From (m) To (m) Length (m) Cu (%) Zn (%) Au g/t Ag g/t
1080.5 1082.5 2.0 0.53 0.01 0.27 10.3
1083.5 1086.5 3.0 0.47 0.02 0.02 4.9
1218.2 1222.1 3.9 0.78 0.02 0.02 3.4

The mineralized zone grading 0.78% Cu over 3.9 metres at 1218.3m corresponds to the horizon hosting the West Lens.  Significantly, this hole proved that the West Lens was not cut-off at depth and therefore is indeed still open to the west and at depth. As well, a subsequent borehole Pulse EM survey showed a good conductor located at the target horizon just above the hole and presumably related to an extension of the West Lens. Follow-up drilling is currently in progress to test this conductor along the West Lens extension.

Work is carried out by the personnel of Cogitore Resources Inc., under the supervision of Gérald Riverin, PhD, P.Geo. He is a qualified person (as defined by National Instrument 43-101) and has more than 29 years of experience in exploration.

Core is logged and sections sent for analysis are sawn in half at the Company's secure facilities in Chibougamau, Quebec. Half the core sampled is sent to ALS Chemex in Val d'Or, Quebec, for analysis with appropriate standards, duplicates and replicates used for control purposes. The other half of the core is retained for future reference.

The Company maintains a strategic focus on base metal exploration in prospective areas that also feature infrastructure favourable for mining development. Accordingly, its work is directed at projects in historic mining areas of Quebec, Ontario, and in the Central Belt of Newfoundland.
