Copper over 25.1 metres.
COGITORE Resources Inc. (the "Company") (WOO: TSX-V)
is pleased to report the discovery of a significant zone of copper-rich
massive sulphides at the Company's 100% owned Scott Lake Project
in Quebec. Hole SC-30, testing the eastern edge of the West Lens,
intersected 25 metres of massive and semi-massive sulphides with
an overall grade of 2.04% copper and 52.5 g/t silver, including
a higher grade zone returning 3.59% copper, 1.27 % zinc
and 82.2 g/t silver over 8.0 metres. Assay details on
the massive sulphides are shown below:

Note: Intercepts are core lengths and true widths
are unknown at this stage. However, core angles with crude layering
in massive sulphides suggest core lengths are likely close to true
widths.
The density of all the massive sulphide samples was
measured prior to assaying for metals. The averages shown in the
above table represent weighted averages, taking into account both
the core length and the density of each sample, thus ensuring a
truly representative metal grade. The sulphides were intersected
at a vertical depth of 560 metres and are cut-off by intrusive
rocks of the Chibougamau Pluton, indicating perhaps that a more
substantial thickness of sulphides may have been present prior
to the intrusion. Borehole geophysical surveys (Pulse EM) clearly
indicate that the sulphide (conductive) zone extends to the east
of, and below SC-30, where the West Lens remains open for at least
250 metres laterally and 300 metres vertically.
Company President and CEO Gérald Riverin,
Ph.D., P. Geo. stated “This is the most significant find of copper-rich
volcanogenic massive sulphides (VMS) in the Chibougamau area since
the discovery of the Lemoine deposit in 1973. We are delighted
with the very substantial improvement in copper and silver grades
over significant widths in the West Lens, which takes us a step
closer to our ultimate objective of identifying a copper-rich orebody.
Drilled originally by Thundermin Resources Inc. in 1991, the West
Lens had been known to contain mostly zinc with relatively little
copper. However, SC-30 is a good example of how the same VMS deposit
can host zones where different metals predominate, thus improving
the potential economics of a deposit.”
One drill rig is currently active at Scott Lake and
drilling will continue into November to test various geophysical
targets, and to explore for the extensions of both the West Lens
and the potential new zinc-rich lens discovered earlier in the
summer (see press release of September 10, 2008). In the meantime,
high-precision surveying of historic holes in the West Lens area
will be completed to better orient follow-up drilling in that sector.
A photo of the core from hole SC-30 is available on the web site
and a revised longitudinal will be posted shortly after completion
of the surveying.
Work is carried out by the personnel of Cogitore
Resources Inc., under the supervision of Gérald Riverin,
PhD, P.Geo. He is a qualified person (as defined by National Instrument
43-101) and has more than 31 years of experience in mineral exploration.
Core is logged and sections sent for analysis are
sawn in half at the Company's secure facilities in Chibougamau,
Quebec. Half the core sampled is sent to ALS Chemex in Val d'Or,
Quebec, for analysis with appropriate standards, duplicates and
replicates used for quality control purposes. The other half of
the core is retained for future reference.
The Company maintains a strategic focus on base metal
exploration in prospective areas that also feature infrastructure
favourable for mining development. Accordingly, its work is directed
at projects in historic mining areas of Quebec, Ontario, and in
the Central Belt of Newfoundland.
