Cogitore Provides Updates on the Scott Lake Project

TORONTO, November 17/CNW/ - COGITORE Resources Inc. (the "Company") (WOO: TSX-V) is pleased to provide an update on its drilling program around its new massive sulphide discovery at the Company's 100% owned Scott Lake Project in Quebec. Massive sulphides were intersected over narrow widths in two new holes, SC-06 and SC-09, which indicates a down plunge length of over 300 metres for the new lens. The lens is still wide open down plunge and partly open up-plunge. Three holes, SC-07, SC-07W and SC-10, have established the upper and eastern limits of the massive sulphide lens, suggesting that further drilling should be focused to the west and at depth. In addition to drilling in the immediate area of the discovery, a 1991 drill hole (SL-91-100) was deepened to test the updip extension of the copper-bearing stringer zone intersected in SL-93-105A (press release dated August 17, 2006). Delays in obtaining assay results have now increased to six to eight weeks at Cogitore’s primary laboratory. Assays results received to date are presented below:

Copper Stringers

Holes SC-07, SC-07W and SC-10 failed to intersect massive sulphides at the target contact and no significant assays are anticipated from drill core sent for analysis.

Hole SC-11, which represents a large step-out from both discovery hole SC-04 and SL-93-105A, intersected an envelope of copper-bearing stringer sulphides in altered felsic volcanic rocks overlying the target horizon. The hole was stopped in intrusive rocks related to the Chibougamau pluton prior to reaching the target contact. Core from SC-11 will be sampled and the hole surveyed with down-the–hole geophysics.

The attached longitudinal section shows the location of the new holes and of previous drilling. The overall favourable volcanic stratigraphy hosting the discovery can be traced for 20 kilometres along strike, all within Cogitore’s 100% wholly owned Scott Lake Property.

Company’s management is encouraged by the high grade of SC-06 and intends to pursue drilling of the new lens at wide spaced intervals of at least 100 metres in order to determine the full extent of the massive sulphides before considering any in-fill drilling. Although assays are still pending for the deepening of drill hole SL-91-100, the Company’s staff is highly encouraged by the visual examination of the stringers. The significance of the copper-rich stringers intersected in SL-93-105A, SL-91-100E and SC-11, and their potential relationship with the new massive sulphide lens have yet to be determined.

Work is carried out by the personnel of Cogitore Resources Inc., under the supervision of Gérald Riverin, PhD, P.Geo. He is a qualified person (as defined by National Instrument 43-101) and has more than 29 years of experience in exploration.

Core is logged and sections sent for analysis are sawn in half at the Company's secure facilities in Chibougamau, Quebec. Half the core sampled is sent to ALS Chemex in Val d’Or, Quebec, for analysis with appropriate standards, duplicates and replicates used for control purposes. The other half of the core is retained for future reference.

The Company has developed a strategic focus on base metal exploration in prospective areas that also feature infrastructure favourable for mining development. Accordingly, it will focus its work in the Abitibi Belt of Quebec and Ontario, and in the Central Belt of Newfoundland.
