Cogitore Resources Inc. initiates 2008 diamond drilling program on Estrades Project

TORONTO, February 13/CNW/ - COGITORE Resources Inc. (the "Company") (WOO:TSX-V) is pleased to announce the commencement of its 2008 exploration programs on the Estrades property and adjoining Caribou property in northwestern Quebec. The Company will be drilling on the 100% owned Estrades Mining Lease as well as on adjacent claims that are subject to the Company's earn-in joint venture agreements with both Inmet Mining and IAMGOLD (the "Caribou claims").

The focus of the program at Estrades will be to follow up on the EME-07 copper zone discovered in 2007 (3.1% Cu over 4.4m, see May 8, 2007 press release) and also to explore the area east of hole EME-07, where favourable rhyolitic volcanic rock units thicken, suggesting proximity to a volcanic vent.

A deep penetrating electromagnetic (InfiniTEM) survey will commence shortly at the Caribou claims immediately to the west of the Estrades mine. Potential conductors will be drilled as part of the current program. The Estrades drilling program will run concurrently with drilling on the Selbaie West Property (see press release of February 7, 2008). With 3 drills currently in operation, the Company has now secured the drill rigs required to carry out over 35,000 metres of drilling on its various projects throughout 2008.

With respect to the on-going feasibility study at the Estrades mine project, discussions are currently taking place with potential custom mills and smelters. The study is focusing on a portion of the Estrades Main Zone located above a depth of 415m and in which Scott Wilson RPA calculated resources of 390,000 tonnes grading 0.80% Cu, 11.03% Zn, 6.24 g/t Au and 187.3 g/t Ag (see Technical Report on SEDAR). The study, initially expected to be completed in 2007, was held up by a 3 month delay in the metallurgical tests at SGS Lakefield. The feasibility study and financial analysis of the project will be completed as soon as smelter terms are obtained and a viable custom milling option has been secured for the Estrades ore.

Work is carried out by the personnel of Cogitore Resources Inc., under the supervision of Gérald Riverin, PhD, P.Geo. He is a qualified person (as defined by National Instrument 43-101) and has more than 30 years of experience in VMS exploration.

The Company has developed a strategic focus on base metal exploration in prospective areas that also feature infrastructure favourable for mining development. Accordingly, it will focus its work in the Abitibi Belt of Quebec and Ontario, and in the Central Belt of Newfoundland.
